Day 35 – Simplicity is the Strategy

As we reached Day 42, it felt symbolic — not just because of the number, but because of what the day represented. The early chaos of building in public had begun to settle. We were no longer chasing validation, we were receiving signals. The right ones.

Day 42 included responses to our Mom Test interviews. We had asked the hard questions — not the kind that invite compliments, but the kind that uncover truth. The replies were direct and sometimes uncomfortable, but they gave us exactly what we needed: clarity. We started to see patterns in what people actually cared about, not what we assumed they wanted.

It also marked a phase shift in how we worked. We were no longer reacting to each piece of feedback with urgency. Instead, we began to interpret it through a more strategic lens. The focus turned to prioritising responses that aligned with our core promise — speed, ease, and automation — and letting go of suggestions that pulled us off course.

That day ended with quiet satisfaction. We had reached a new level of maturity. The product was working. The feedback was flowing. And most importantly, we were ready to listen without panicking and refine without rushing.

Key takeaway

Real feedback is not what you hear, it’s what you see repeat. When patterns emerge, clarity follows.
